pie and pudding recipes using kumara

Try these mouthwatering recipes for bakes, pies
and puddings. Kumara makes a tasty, healthy base...and an excellent
alternative to traditional pastry.
tropical kumara bake
4 cups cooked mashed kumara
4 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp salt
good pinch cinnamon
1 cup drained crushed pineapple
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup coconut
Mix kumara with 3/4 cup of pineapple, 3 tbsp butter, salt, brown sugar
and cinnamon. Mix well and spoon into a buttered casserole dish. Mix
the coconut with remaining pineapple and butter, and spread over top.
Bake in moderate oven 180°C for 40 minutes. |
