Over the years, we have had a number of visits from the Ruawai Kindergarten! Kaipara Kumara love when the kindy kids and their teachers/parents come for a visit, and we would love to set up more in the future.

In late 2018, Kaipara Kumara was presented with a unique opportunity to sponsor the 91.6 MoreFM award-winning show, John, Flash & Toast, where we saw positive brand alignment with the show's family/community values. The relationship has proved to be a great asset for Kaipara Kumara’s brand by interacting with the Northland community and taking sponsorship to a new level with the regular monthly community giveaway’s of kumara (pictures below).

UNISS Netball Tournament

​UNISS (Upper North Island Secondary Schools) is an annual netball tournament for top Secondary School players, coaches, managers, umpires, officials and spectators from around the Upper North Island, held for a week in early September.
​
For a number of years, Kaipara Kumara has helped to fund the Ruawai College A Team who have attended UNISS, through personalised bags and hoodies, food, and so on. We love seeing young kids play sport, especially at a tournament like this, where these kids can learn a number of important life lessons outside of netball too - from team bonding, to new experiences.
